Neguac Celebrates Winter
In 2011, the Association des Loisirs St-Bernard got the idea of celebrating the seasons. This led to a decision to organize the Neguac Winter Celebration, held at the end of February. The day's many activities include such things as a giant outdoor slide, a snow sculpture contest, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing and crafts.
We're proud of our country, and we celebrate being Canadian by organizing a public celebration every July 1st. Activities are held at the Richelieu Municipal Park. There is music, children's activities and a rally for the adults. Admission is free.
Looking for some fun on a fine Wednesday evening? Then take a seat at the Richelieu Municipal Park in Neguac to hear some great music. Performances start at 6:30 and end at 8:30, and a canteen will be open. If it rains, the concert will be held the Wednesday of the following week. Bring your folding chairs.

Provincial Giant Pumpkin Festival
This festival originated with a Neguac man who liked to grow giant pumpkins. In 1995, Camille Breau organized the first official weigh-in, with three participants and around twenty spectators.
For the first three years, Mr. Breau and his wife Monique did all the organizing for the competition. Due to the festival's growing popularity, they had to use the Neguac Sportplex Arena to accommodate the growing number of participants and spectators. This is also why, in 1998, the Breaus partnered with the Neguac Club Richelieu Féminin to organize and run the festival, which had become known provincially.
Now moved to the Neguac Club d'âge d'or, organized by committee of citizens and in partnership with the municipality of Neguac since 2015, the festival is still very successful. A number of prizes with a total value of over $2,500 are awarded to participants. At the weigh-in in 2010, Mr. Edmund Hemphill of Mount Pleasant, New Brunswick, set a new record with a pumpkin weighing 1468 lb.
If you're up for competition, camaraderie and fun, the Provincial Giant Pumpkin Festival in Neguac is the place for you!
