The Municipality

Neguac, although part of Northumberland County, is considered both historically and geographically as the gateway to the Acadian Peninsula for people coming from the south or southwest of the province. Located between the city of Miramichi and the Regional Municipality of Tracadie, it benefits from a strategic location and also serves as a service centre for the surrounding local service districts.

Rich in natural resources, Neguac derives much of its income from fishing and forestry. Its tourism sector also offers exceptional attractions, including magnificent dunes, sheltered lagoons and beautiful beaches, as well as an ecotourism park. In the summer, the municipality comes alive with a variety of cultural, recreational and sporting activities, offering visitors the opportunity to discover a warm and welcoming community. We look forward to welcoming you.
